Apologies for the brief hiatus. Between a work trip and some bad decisions it has just occurred to me looking at my last post that I am the EXACT same weight I was 18 days ago… It’s a marathon not a sprint, although I am going to try and speed up now for real. Looking at my weight tracker I ballooned up to 300 lbs over this time period which means in theory I lost about 7 pounds. Now imagine if it was 7 pounds from the original 293.1. I would literally be halfway through the 280’s! I know they say it (and I say it even), but DIET is king win it comes to weight loss. I am seriously thinking about this thing I heard about called NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). NEAT is described as “the energy expended (calories burned) from everyday activities that aren't planned exercise, sleeping, or eating.“ The easiest examples might be something like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or fidgeting while sitting at your desk. I know the second example seems a little silly BUT if it means faster weight loss than I am game for anything.
